The Therapy of Everything是由Brenda Hojgaard 所作,

Introduction

“When was the last time you did something for the first time?”

A question that often pops up in my head.

I worked as a personal fitness trainer for more than ten years, fitness and exercise were always my passion, until passion became an obsession,an hour of exercise became hours of exercise, healthy eating became worried of eating, until I developed an unhealthy relationship with “fitness”, then I know I needed a way out.

For a person who lived with dumbbells and treadmills for ten years, picking up a pen wasn’t easy. I studied graphic design for a short while after college,I have always had a love for art and drawing, but that doesn’t make me a professional.

Hey, All or Nothing.

So I pick up a pencil and start drawing on my sofa, then I brought a set of drawing pen, then a whole set of colour marker, then another set of colour pencils,

all the ideas in my head almost make me put on weight!

You don’t have to be a professional to be an artist.

For me, art is the product of expression, there’s no right or wrong.

Draw an apple blue, or a banana red, as long as it suits your feelings.

Think outside the box, in fact, just get rid of the fxxxing box.

People often ask me: What is the style of your artwork?

The answer is, there’s no style, I’m experimenting and exploring.

If I have to call myself one thing, I guess I am a “Professional Amateur Artist”.

This book is the first product of my expression, the process was truly therapeutic.

I hope this will be an inspiration for you, your friends and love ones.

I have answered my question, now it’s your turn.
